Artist Talk: WASTE
Three distinct artists, each charting their own path, share inspiring personal stories. They dive into their journeys, artistic growth, the hurdles they faced, and their best & worst practices.
WASTE
Antwerp-Aarschot band WASTE blends noise, grunge, and dark post-punk into an intense, uncompromising sound driven by manic vocals, pounding drums, heavy basslines, and screaming guitars.
The past few years have been a whirlwind for the band: in 2023, they won the Antwerp Sound Track final and became a Trix resident, followed by a final spot in Humo’s Rock Rally. During this period, their first core team took shape, bringing a manager and booking agent on board.
In early 2026, WASTE won Studio Brussel's De Nieuwe Lichting, rapidly introducing their music to a much broader audience. March saw the release of their debut album SCREAM UNTIL IT’S BEAUTIFUL, produced by Tim De Gieter (Amenra, Doodseskader).
During this artist talk, they’ll take you through that sudden momentum: what is it like for a young band when opportunities, media attention, and professional support suddenly stack up? What changes when your calendar fills up, your team expands, and you land on bigger stages? WASTE speaks openly about the steps they’ve taken and the lessons learned along the way.
This artist talk will be hosted by Esther Nwanu.
